SBA: Four Ways It Supports Small Businesses
At the Maple Heights Small Business Forum on September 23, Terry Bolden, District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Ohio District Office, outlined how the SBA works to help entrepreneurs and small business owners succeed.
In his remarks, Terry Bolden, District Director of the SBA Ohio District Office, breaks down the “Four C’s” that guide everything the SBA does: Capital, Contracting, Counseling, and Crisis. He explains how SBA loan guarantees help entrepreneurs secure funding, why the 504 program is a powerful tool for buying or renovating property, how counseling through partners like the Urban League SBDC can sharpen your business plan, and even how the SBA is often the first federal agency on the ground after disasters.
Bolden also shares insights from his own experience working with small businesses during the pandemic and what business owners should know about the support available today.
