Welcome Mayor Matt Burke to the Garfield Heights Chapter Business Leadership Council!

We welcome Mayor Matt Burke, Garfield Heights, as our newest Business Leadership Council member! In addition to volunteering on the BLC committee, the City of Garfield Heights has committed to become a top tier Municipal Sponsor, supporting the development of a thriving business ecosystem within our communities and region. We look forward to working with them to grow the Garfield Heights Chapter and bringing new growth opportunities to the business community.
Mayor Burke asks, “Would you rather be successful or truly significant as a leader in your community?”
Since taking office in 2021, Mayor Matt Burke has prioritized business growth and infrastructure improvements across Garfield Heights. He led the redevelopment of the former City View Shopping Center into Highland Park, a new industrial hub with tenants like MPac, MTech, and EMX Industries. His administration updated zoning laws to support mixed-use development and backed a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Study to encourage new commercial activity. He works closely with the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission and regional groups to keep the city business-friendly and future-ready.
About the Business Leadership Council:
At the heart of our local Chamber Chapters are the Business Leadership Council members. These are members willing to volunteer their time serving in various visible roles, including chapter ambassadors, advocates, and local event coordinators. Business Leadership Council members are supporters of the organization’s mission, growth, and future development and may participate in biannual leadership meetings.
