Five Ways to Spread Positivity this September!
How are you spreading positive thinking into your company this month? Positive Thinking Day is on September 13th this year! According to nationaltoday.com, “Positive Thinking Day is all about thinking positive thoughts. It’s easy to be pessimistic and cynical about things — which is not entirely bad because it prepares you for the worst. However, too much negativity can have an adverse impact on our emotional well-being.” Keep reading to get five ideas on spreading positivity into your company this year!
Five Ways to Spread Positivity this September:
Start with a Positivity Kick-off Meeting:
Begin the day with a short team meeting where everyone shares something positive. They’re grateful for whether it’s a personal win, a professional achievement, or something small. A positive kick-off meeting sets a positive tone for the day and encourages a supportive atmosphere.
Create a Gratitude Wall:
Set up a board or wall space where employees can post notes of gratitude. Please encourage them to write about things they appreciate in their coworkers or aspects of their job they enjoy. A Gratitude Wall can boost morale and help team members feel valued.
Host a Positivity Workshop:
Arrange for a short workshop or seminar focusing on the benefits of positive thinking. Workshops could include techniques for maintaining a positive outlook, handling stress positively, or cultivating a growth mindset.
Implement a Compliment Exchange:
Encourage employees to write anonymous compliments about each other. Collect these notes and distribute them randomly throughout the day. Receiving unexpected positive feedback can be a great morale booster.
End the Day with Reflective Closure:
Wrap up the day with a brief closing meeting, during which employees can reflect on the positive aspects of their day. They can discuss any changes they notice in the workplace atmosphere and share ideas for incorporating positivity into their everyday routine.
These activities celebrate Positive Thinking Day and foster a more supportive and positive workplace culture.
