Celebrate National Entrepreneur’s Day This Year!
National Entrepreneurship Day is coming up on November 21, 2023, and The Cuyahoga East Chamber of Commerce wants to celebrate those who have built their business on their own!
But wait, how did this day come about? Quick history lesson: In 2010, entrepreneur Siamak Taghaddos, former CEO of Grasshopper, started a petition to create a National Entrepreneur’s Day. With America being considered the most entrepreneurial country in the world, he needed to understand why there wasn’t a day dedicated to recognizing entrepreneurs. Six months and thousands of signatures later, former President Obama proclaimed November 21st to be National Entrepreneur’s Day!
Here are four ways to celebrate an entrepreneur for National Entrepreneur’s Day this year:
Write a Feature or Blog Post:
Create a blog post or a social media feature highlighting the entrepreneur’s journey, achievements, and impact on the local community. Share their story and encourage others to support their business.
Host a Local Business Showcase:
Organize an event or showcase that features multiple local entrepreneurs. This could be a pop-up market, a small business fair, or an online event. It allows entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services to a larger audience.
Offer Mentorship or Networking Opportunities:
If you have expertise in entrepreneurship or business, consider offering mentorship or networking opportunities to the local entrepreneur. You can connect them with other entrepreneurs, provide advice, or help them with specific challenges they may be facing.
Spread the Word:
Use your social media channels, local community groups, and word of mouth to spread the word about the entrepreneur’s business. Leave positive reviews, share their posts, and encourage friends and family to support them.
